How we make hiring a remote engineering team safe — BixoSoft
Working with BixoSoft

How we make hiring a remote engineering team safe.

This page answers the questions clients ask before they sign — and the ones they usually do not ask out loud. Anything here that matters to your procurement, finance or security team, we will put in the contract.

You own the code Named engineers A live demo every week A documented exit plan

Nothing has to start big.

Most engagements begin with a paid diagnostic — a mapped workflow or codebase assessment with written findings — or a two-week pilot on a single workflow.

You see how we work, on a real deadline, before anything important depends on us. The diagnostic fee is credited against the next stage if you proceed within 30 days.

01 What you own

  • The repository is yours, in your organisation, set up live on the kickoff call before any code is written. We are collaborators on it, not owners.
  • Cloud accounts are in your name and billed to you — your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. Your system never runs on infrastructure we control.
  • Domains, DNS and third-party accounts are registered to you.
  • Full IP assignment signed before implementation begins.

02 Who works on your account

  • Named engineers, not a rotating pool. Names, photographs, roles — and you meet them.
  • A named backup engineer per account, already familiar with your system. If someone leaves, delivery does not stop.
  • One named project owner and a written escalation path.
  • Team changes are announced in advance, with a handover.

03 How we deliver

  • A live 20-minute demo every week, same day and time — working software, not slides.
  • A written weekly summary: shipped, in progress, blocked, next.
  • A monthly one-page report to whoever signs the invoice: what changed, system health, progress against the goal you set at kickoff.
  • Stated overlap hours and a response-time commitment, both written into the SOW.
  • Async-first — progress never waits on a live call.

04 Contracts and terms

  • NDA, MSA, statement of work and IP assignment in place before implementation.
  • Data-processing agreement available, including UK and EU GDPR terms.
  • Milestones tied to working software you can see — never to a percentage-complete estimate.
  • Terms: diagnostics and pilots in advance; implementations 40% on signature, remainder on accepted milestones; retainers monthly in advance.
  • Invoiced in USD to our company bank account.

05 Security and data

  • Least-privilege access, removed the day an engineer rolls off your account.
  • No production data on local machines. Development uses anonymised or synthetic data.
  • Credentials live in a managed secrets store — never in the repository, never in chat.
  • Every change reviewed by a second engineer before it reaches production.
  • Signed confidentiality terms cover every individual on your account, not just the company.
  • Your security team may review our practices, or impose your own policy — we will work inside it.

06 Continuity

  • Your system runs on your cloud, not ours. Our office going offline cannot take your product down — the most important line on this page.
  • Two independent internet providers plus a mobile fallback at our office.
  • A named backup engineer per account, so no individual is a single point of failure.
  • We commit to response times, which we control — not to uptime on infrastructure we do not.

07 If it is not working

  • A documented handover and exit plan is in the contract from the start, not negotiated at the end.
  • Retainers run on 30 days' notice after an initial three-month term.
  • On exit you receive the repository you already own, deployment documentation, environment details and a walkthrough with your next team.
  • Making it easy to leave is deliberate. Hard to replace is not the same as worth keeping.

08 Who we are

  • 25 engineers in Faisalabad, Pakistan, working together since 2017.
  • Laravel, PHP, Flutter, React, Next.js, Node, Python, PostgreSQL and MySQL, Redis, AWS and business-system integrations.
  • Overlap: essentially your full working day in the Gulf; four to five hours with the UK and Europe.
  • Long relationships are the norm — our largest client has been with us since June 2021. See the case studies.

Talk to a client before you talk to us again

We will arrange a call with a current client running a comparable system, so you can ask the questions you would rather not ask a vendor. Request it at any point — you need not be close to a decision.
